Basic Coverage Included in the Rental Fee
Vehicle damage coverage is not included for our rental vehicle.
Any damage to our rental vehicle caused by accidents, contact damage, hit-and-run incidents, vandalism, single-vehicle accidents, or other incidents must be paid by the renter or driver.

For minor property damage accidents, such as light damage to guardrails, walls, fences, or other vehicles, we may waive the customer’s liability amount up to ¥100,000 when we handle the case without using insurance.

3Non-Operation Charge (NOC)
Even if you select the Peace-of-Mind Compensation Plan, if repair, cleaning, deodorizing, inspection, or other measures become necessary due to an accident, theft, breakdown, stains, odor, or any other cause attributable to the renter or driver, the following Non-Operation Charge (NOC) will apply as partial business compensation.
Damage to special accessibility equipment, such as the wheelchair lift or wheelchair securement system, may be charged separately at actual cost.

4Special Cleaning and Infection Control Costs
If vomiting, incontinence, blood contamination, infection control, strong odor, or other special cleaning, disinfection, parts replacement, or vehicle inspection is required, the actual cost will be charged separately from the NOC.
5Various Administrative Fees
To ensure safe use of our wheelchair accessible rental vehicle, we have established administrative fees for cases requiring special handling due to accidents, breakdowns, equipment damage, traffic violations, or other issues.
These fees normally do not occur during standard use, but may be charged when emergency response, equipment repair, legal handling, or other special action is required.

6No Smoking Policy
All of our wheelchair accessible rental vehicles are completely non-smoking so that every customer can use them comfortably.
If smoking causes odor, stains, or any other condition requiring special cleaning, deodorizing, or restoration, a smoking violation cleaning fee of ¥30,000 will be charged.

Exclusions from
Compensation Coverage
The Peace-of-Mind Compensation Plan is an optional plan designed to help customers use our wheelchair accessible rental vehicle with greater confidence.
However, please note that coverage does not apply in certain cases specified in the insurance policy or rental agreement, such as drunk driving, driving without a valid license, breach of contract, or accidents caused by gross negligence.
The compensation plan does not apply in the following cases.
Violation of our rental agreement
Accident caused by a person other than the renter or registered driver
Drunk driving or driving under the influence of alcohol
Driving without a valid license
Failure to report an accident to the police
Failure to report an accident to our company
Accident caused intentionally or by gross negligence
Failure to make a proper report after a hit-and-run incident
Loss of the vehicle key
Tire puncture, tire burst, or wheel damage
Interior stains, odor removal, vomiting, excrement cleaning, smoking-related damage, or similar damage
Damage caused by incorrect operation of the wheelchair lift, wheelchair securement system, or other accessibility equipment
Violation of the rental terms and conditions
Any other case excluded under the insurance policy or our rental agreement
Important Notes
・The compensation plan does not waive responsibility for the accident itself. It is a plan to reduce or waive certain customer liability amounts determined by our company.
・Serious accidents, irreparable damage, total loss, vehicle disposal, and similar cases may be excluded from this plan.
・Damage to our rental vehicle itself may result in separate customer liability under the rental agreement.
・The plan cannot be added, changed, canceled, or refunded after the rental period begins.
・If we determine it necessary, customers may be asked to submit documents confirming the accident circumstances before the plan is applied.
Intentional Acts, Gross Negligence, and Legal Violations
If the renter or driver causes an accident or other damage through intentional conduct, gross negligence, or violation of law, our compensation plans, Peace-of-Mind Compensation Plan, and liability reduction systems will not apply.
If our company suffers damage due to intentional conduct or gross negligence by the renter or driver, the renter or driver must pay all actual damages incurred by our company, including repair costs, vehicle value, towing costs, business compensation (NOC), loss of vehicle use, accident handling costs, and any other losses. In addition, the renter or driver must pay ¥100,000 as a gross negligence damage charge.
Examples of Gross Negligence or Legal Violations
The following acts, or acts equivalent to them, are considered gross negligence or legal violations.
・Drunk driving or driving under the influence of alcohol
・Driving without a valid license
・Falling asleep while driving
・Driving while excessively fatigued
・Significant speeding, generally 30 km/h or more over the speed limit
・Aggressive driving or dangerous driving
・Intentional accident or intentional damage
・Driving while unable to operate the vehicle safely due to illness, medication, drugs, or other influence
・Failure to report an accident to the police or our company, or making a false report after an accident
・Serious violation of laws or the rental agreement
・Any other case reasonably judged by our company to involve dangerous driving or a serious breach of duty
Accidents Caused by Significant Negligence
If our contracted insurance company, accident investigation organization, or our company determines, based on the accident circumstances, liability ratio, legal violations, and all other relevant factors, that the renter or driver was significantly negligent, the Peace-of-Mind Compensation Plan and other compensation systems will not apply.
However, ordinary self-inflicted accidents that occur within normal use are generally not immediately treated as significant negligence.
